Innovative Solutions for the Pharmaceutical Industry
From Text to Layout – Communication for Pharma
I offer tailored communication solutions that strengthen your brand and convey your message clearly and precisely.

Editorial Content & Copywriting for the Pharmaceutical Industry
At pharmavisuell.de, specialist writing and communication are at the heart of what I offer the pharmaceutical industry. I write press releases, medical writing content, and industry articles that convey your message precisely and effectively. In addition, I handle graphic design and packaging artwork for packaging and marketing materials.
Specialist Writing & Communication for Pharma
I combine two perspectives that rarely come together in one person: hands-on laboratory work in pharmaceutical quality control — container testing, GMP processes — and more than 20 years of professional writing experience for the pharma industry. This combination allows me to grasp complex technical content precisely while formulating it for the right audience — without anything getting lost on the way from source material to finished text.
Press Releases & Industry Articles
I conceive and write press releases, industry articles, and background papers structured so that industry journalists actually read and reuse them. This includes a clear distinction between a statement and a background paper — I choose the right format depending on the communication goal. For emergencies, I also develop prepared message templates for crisis communication, so no time is lost on wording in a critical moment.
Medical Writing & Translation of Complex Content
Making technical and scientific content understandable without losing precision is a discipline of its own. I translate test protocols, study data, and regulatory requirements into texts that actually reach their target audience — whether that's specialists, pharmacy staff, or end consumers. For multilingual projects, I additionally ensure consistent terminology, so technical terms remain uniform and correct across all language versions.

Regulatory Writing
Prescribing information, package inserts, and promotional copy follow entirely different linguistic and legal rules — even for the same active ingredient. I know these differences from practical, hands-on experience — from character-count requirements to mandatory disclosures to the correct presentation of contraindications — and make sure marketing ambition and regulatory requirements align instead of conflicting.
Content Strategy & Editorial Planning
For customer and employee magazines, I handle editorial planning from topic development through to the finished issue. When researching industry articles, I also draw on sources made accessible to me through my lab and industry experience — an advantage a purely journalistic approach often can't offer.
Corporate Profiles & B2B Copy
I make technical companies — suppliers, contract manufacturers, or reference standard providers, for example — tangible through concise profile pieces, without resorting to interchangeable marketing clichés. Depending on the occasion and objective, I choose the right format, whether that's an interview or a compact company snapshot.
Graphic Design & Packaging Artwork
In addition to copywriting, I handle graphic design and packaging artwork: packaging development for pharma products, industry ads, and multilingual marketing materials.
AI in Content Work
I routinely work with AI-powered tools for research, structuring, and efficiency. Final editorial, technical, and linguistic review, however, always remains with me — especially for regulatory-sensitive content, careful word-by-word proofreading is essential.

Background
My professional career began in 1993 with training as an Information Designer (Systems Technology track) at the Gertrud-Luckner-Gewerbeschule in Freiburg, which I completed in 1996 with a specialized university entrance qualification. Since then, I've been at home in graphic communication — initially working more broadly across graphic design, desktop publishing, print production, and web design, before my path increasingly narrowed toward the pharmaceutical industry.
I found my entry into pharma communications in 2005 through a specialized communications agency. In the years that followed, I continuously expanded my experience through further engagements with agencies specialized in the pharmaceutical industry — over two decades, this built a deep understanding of the industry's particular demands: the close interplay between marketing ambition and regulatory precision, the importance of correct technical terminology, and the sensitivity required in communicating pharmaceutical content.
Since 2024, in addition to my agency work, I've directly and independently supported a Swiss pharmaceutical company — from initial concept through to finished execution.
Alongside my communications work, I've worked since 2022 as a laboratory specialist in pharmaceutical quality control. There, my responsibilities include testing reference standards and the hands-on implementation of GMP processes. This practical knowledge is more than a footnote in my résumé: it makes me a direct point of contact between production, quality assurance, and marketing — without the translation losses that typically occur when communications professionals without hands-on lab experience attempt to accurately convey complex technical relationships.
Over the years, I've worked for a wide range of well-known international pharmaceutical corporations as well as mid-sized drug manufacturers — from corporate communications to packaging design. Due to contractually agreed confidentiality, I generally do not name these companies on my website. This discretion is standard practice in the pharmaceutical industry and is valued accordingly: it protects not only my clients but also signals to prospective clients that I handle sensitive information responsibly. I'm happy to discuss specific references and project examples in a personal conversation, to the extent permitted by the respective confidentiality agreements.
This combination of more than 29 years of design and editorial experience, over 20 years of specific pharma expertise, and active laboratory practice forms the foundation of my work under the pharmavisuell brand: copy and design that not only communicate effectively, but also hold up to technical and regulatory scrutiny.
